Two special events are held each year:
A Mid-winter Lunch, and a Christmas Function
The Nelson Room is equipped with a kitchen, with an electric oven, boiling water dispenser and sink.
The group owns some of its own crockery.

Tables and chairs are provided in the main area, together with electric heating and lighting.
The group meets monthly in the Nelson Room, for the exchange of information regarding gardening activities. Sometimes a guest speaker is featured. There is a strong social element to meetings, and often, after light refreshments, visits are made to local gardens.
Once a year, a day trip is made to gardens further afield.
