Equipment available for use at the club includes quilting hoops, frames and associated equipment.
The group library of 200 books about quilting is available to members.
Formed in 1979, some original members still attend today. A member is free to attend any or all of our groups.
An annual week-long Exhibition is held in August to showcase the previous year’s endeavours. Sewing weekends are held for projects such as new quilts/bags/hangings or for tutor led new techniques. Other activities include day trips to Quilt shops in and around Hawke’s Bay and visiting other quilting groups and Exhibitions.
Every year quilts are made for charity, such as the Special Care Baby Unit of Hawkes Bay Hospital and infants attending the crèche at William Colenso College.
