Community arts in Havelock North, Hawke's Bay

Set in beautiful Keirunga Gardens, this cultural centre provides a home for the learning and practice of many arts, crafts and leisure pursuits.

Our Vision:
The Keirunga Gardens Arts & Craft Society Inc. provides community facilities for art and learning, and plays a vital role in the regional arts sector. High occupancy and effective administration of these facilities result in financial success and longevity for The Society.

Members pay an annual membership of $50 to The Society, which is non-profit making and uses all funds for running expenses and improvement of facilities.
Each group pays a variable Facility Fee payable to The Society, and their own small group fee.
Please contact the individual activity groups for their charges.

Grouped around a central courtyard, the original Keirunga Homestead buildings, the Nelson Theatre, Frank Bacon Studio and Pottery provide accommodation for the various indoor activities. In addition, the courtyard and gardens provide idyllic settings for outdoor festivals, concerts and drama productions.

The public park, which comprises 17 hectares of formal gardens and parkland, and includes the Keirunga Park Railway, is maintained by the Hastings District Council.
